Yash Raj Films produce Grace of Monaco

Deadline questa mattina ha annunciato che la filiale americana di Yash Raj Films, gestita da Uday Chopra, coprodurrà il film Grace of Monaco diretto da Olivier Dahan e interpretato da Nicole Kidman. Chopra ha commentato: 'Grace of Monaco is the kind of movie that has a perfect blend of talent and sensibility that YRF Entertainment is proud to be a part of'. Uday ha già finanziato un altro progetto internazionale: The longest week di Peter Glanz, con Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde e Billy Crudup.

Time ha pubblicato ieri la lista dei dieci film più grandiosi distribuiti a partire dall'anno 2000. Il sontuoso Devdas, diretto da Sanjay Leela Bhansali e interpretato da Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai e Madhuri Dixit, occupa l'ottava posizione. La motivazione: 'The piece is played with such commitment that the tritest plot twists seem worth believing - and dancing to, in nine nifty production numbers. But the fervid emotion is what makes the thing sing. Beyond that, Devdas is a visual ravishment, with sumptuous sets, fabulous frocks and beautiful people to fill them; it has a grandeur the old Hollywood moguls would have loved'.
